The festival featured even more delicious food, live entertainment, artisans, fun activities by local businesses and representation from dozens of local organizations!

MEET
The goal of the event is to meet neighbours and celebrate all North York has to offer!
The Meet & Eat will include the following:

A patio to enjoy food and meet neighbours all weekend long!

A Community Fair of 20+ local charities, non-profits, clubs and elected officials on Saturday and Sunday

Family activities include robotics, a family friendly escape, room, caricatures, lego-building, aerial hammock experience, giant foosball, volley pong and more!

Celebrate and appreciate our community's diverse cultures, including Chinese, Korean, Filipino, South American, Indian, Ukraininan, Japanese, Italian, Caribbean, and many more!
Many of these vendors are new to Mel Lastman Square meaning you’ll be able to indulge your taste buds on delicious food items you haven’t enjoyed here before!


ENTERTAINMENT
We're working with incredible partners to bring exciting performances to the square at two stages, one on Yonge St. and one at the Main Stage.
There will be an assortment of fantastic bands and cultural groups including Persian, Korean, Chinese, Indian, Ukrainian and Latin dancers and musicians.
Saturday from 12-3:30PM we'll have the first Willowdale School battle of the bands

Join us on the patio to break bread with neighbours throughout the weekend!
On Saturday, June 7th & Sunday, June 8th from 12-5pm meet neighbours from over organizations that make North York a special place to live, including Charities, Non-Profits, Neighbourhood Associations, Clubs and more! You'll find them around the patio in the reflection pond!
There will also be family activities, including lego building, a robotic field, an aerial hammock, an instrument petting zoo, juggling workshops, arts and crafts, caricatures, and face painting

Willowdale Community Legal Services is a community legal clinic funded by Legal Aid Ontario to give free legal advice and representation to low-income people living in North York. They offer free, confidential legal assistance from lawyers and licensed paralegals.

A Better Future For All
A Better Future For All is a social impact orgnization that mobilizes technology in peer-to-peer giving. Founded by a group of like-minded technology experts, A Better Future For All was created to respond to the increasing challenges of families and inidividuals in need. For the past two years, the organization was responding to a humanitarian crisis brought by the way in Ukraine.

North York Women's Centre
North York Women’s Centre (NYWC) is a Canadian registered charity, established in 1988 with a vision of a world in which all doors are open for all women. As part of a network of women’s centres across Ontario and the only centre serving Nork York and Central Toronto (a catchment with the greatest breadth in socio-economic disparity in the GTA), we offer free services to women and gender-diverse individuals, in particular those who have experienced and are survivors of gender-based violence and abuse.

For over 35 years, this YMCA has been providing child care, camps, and health and fitness services to members of its diverse surrounding community. On-site parking is available free to members.

ARTS AND CULTURE

North York Arts
North York Arts is a non-profit, charitable organization created to uplift and expand the arts in North York by investing in artists, inspiring community members, and collaborating with partners and businesses. At Taste of North York, live artists Ashley Beerdat, Camila aka Comilart, Serene Chan, and Youngdo Kang will create stunning visual art around the themes of North York, community, and connection.

Kabayan Multicultural Centre
Kababayan Multicultural Centre (KMC) is a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting the immigrant community in their successful settlement in Canada. Founded in 1977, KMC has been a strong advocate for immigrants from diverse backgrounds, providing client-centered and accessible services to newcomers, families, women and seniors.

Gibson House is a 19th-century farmhouse hidden between the high rises of North York. Step across the threshold and back in time to the 1850s kitchen. Feel welcomed by the warm aroma of wood smoke and beeswax. Gibson House offers visitors an opportunity to taste, smell and touch history in a way that few other museums can.

NEIGHBOURHOOD ORGANIZATIONS

North York Garden Club
North York Garden Club has been in North York since 1924. The club meets on the 4th Monday of the month from February until November at 7:30 PM. They promote the love of gardening to our members and the public through meetings, guest speakers, flower shows, plant sales, and community outreach activities.

The Yonge North York BIA, formed in 2021, serves approximately 1,600+ member businesses and commercial properties. Street-level restaurants, shops, office buildings, and shopping centers house a variety of businesses and service providers. The BIA’s main pillars of focus for project development and improvements are the public realm, marketing, and local economic development.

Yonge Corridor Condominium Association
YCCA serves condo boards of directors along the Yonge Corridor north of the 401 by providing networking workshops and opportunities. It also advocates to various levels of government regarding areas of concern for condominium residents in the area.

The WCRA is a community run, not-for-profit group that is dedicated to enhancing the Willowdale area by supporting and hosting events that bring community members together.

Formed in December 2019 as one of the first approved Ontario Health Teams, North York Toronto Health Partners was initially created to provide integrated health care to targeted populations in our community: frail seniors, those with mental health and addiction issues, and those at the end of life.
